The terms that apply when you buy digital gift cards and game credit from Instakeys.
Instakeys is run by INSTAKEYS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17531546), whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean INSTAKEYS LTD, and "you" means the person placing an order.
You can contact us through our contact form or by email at [email protected].
These terms, together with our Refund Policy, apply to every order. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle your data. Please read them before you buy.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
Codes are sold for your own use or to give as a gift. You may not buy codes in order to resell them.
We sell digital codes for gift cards, game credit and similar prepaid products. Each code is issued by its brand, such as a game store, streaming service or retailer. We buy codes from authorised distributors and resell them; we are not the issuer.
Once you redeem a code, your use of the balance or product is governed by the issuing brand's own terms. We are not responsible for the brand's services, accounts or decisions about them.
Brand names and logos belong to their owners. They are shown to describe the products, and their owners don't sponsor or endorse Instakeys.
Most codes can only be redeemed on accounts and stores registered in the country they were issued for. Every product page states that country. Codes marked Global work in every country their brand serves.
Please check the country before you buy. A code that works in the country stated is not faulty because it doesn't work on an account registered elsewhere.
Prices are shown in the currency you choose. The price at checkout is the total you pay, including any taxes that apply; we don't add fees afterwards. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fees, for example for paying in a foreign currency.
Each product page shows both the price you pay and the face value of the card in its own currency. Where those currencies differ, the conversion is already included in the price.
Payment is taken when you place your order. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
If we make an obvious mistake in a price or description, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after you have paid.
When you place an order, you offer to buy the codes in it. Our contract with you starts when we accept that offer by delivering your codes: on screen, and by email to the address you give us.
We may decline an order, for example if a code is no longer available, a payment or security check fails, or we reasonably suspect fraud or a breach of these terms. If we decline an order you have paid for, we refund you in full.
Codes are usually delivered within seconds. If a check delays your order, we will email you. If we can't deliver a code at all, we refund you in full.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase made online. For digital content that isn't supplied on a physical medium, that right ends once supply begins, if you have agreed to it beginning and acknowledged that you will lose the right.
At checkout we ask you to agree that we deliver your codes straight away, and to confirm that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once they are delivered. Your order confirmation email records that agreement.
Until your codes have been delivered, you can cancel your order by contacting us, and we will refund you in full.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the codes we supply must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
If a code is faulty, for example it is rejected as invalid or already used the first time you try to redeem it in the country stated, contact us through our contact form or by email at [email protected] with your order number. We will check it with our supplier and replace it. If a replacement isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem within a reasonable time, we will refund you. Our Refund Policy explains how.
Please tell us as soon as you can, ideally within 30 days of delivery, so that we can investigate with the issuer. This doesn't limit your legal rights.
Treat codes like cash. Don't share them with anyone you don't know, and never use them to pay someone who contacted you unexpectedly or asks to be paid in gift cards: genuine companies, government bodies and banks don't ask for this.
Once a code has been redeemed, its value belongs to the account that redeemed it. We can't replace a code that someone else redeemed after you shared it.
Please use our site lawfully. Don't place fraudulent orders, use payment details you aren't authorised to use, try to interfere with the site's security or working, or collect its content by automated means.
We may suspend orders from, or access by, anyone who breaks these rules.
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when the contract was made.
We supply codes for domestic and private use only. We are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at an issuer, supplier or payment provider. If such an event affects your order, we will tell you, and if we can't deliver your codes we will refund you in full.
If you are unhappy with anything we have done, please contact us through our contact form or by email at [email protected]. We will look into it and reply as soon as we can.
If we can't resolve your complaint, we will tell you in writing whether we use an alternative dispute resolution provider. You can also get free advice from Citizens Advice, and you can bring a claim in the courts.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation; your rights under them won't be affected. You may only transfer yours to someone else with our written agreement.
This contract is between you and us. No one else has any right to enforce its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the rest stays in force. If we don't insist on something straight away, we can still insist on it later.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings about them in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
If you live elsewhere and buy as a consumer, you also keep the protection of any rules of the country where you live that can't be overridden by agreement.
